How to Get the Phantom Blade Zero Platinum
The Platinum — officially “Defy Destiny”, and called “Defy Fate” by several trophy guides — unlocks when every other achievement is done: 65 in total. It is achievable in one playthrough on the easiest difficulty, with no DLC and no New Game+.
Nine of those 65 are the ones that can be lost: eight sit behind side quests that fail permanently, and the ninth is the true ending itself. The rest are straightforward: defeat the boss, collect the item, upgrade the weapon. The order you approach them in is what decides whether you finish with a Platinum or end up needing a second run from an older save.
The two names
Both names point at the same trophy. If “Defy Destiny” returns nothing on Steam, that is why.

The nine that decide the run
Nine achievements can be permanently lost: eight are attached to side quests, and the ninth is the true ending. Those are the only trophies in the game that can be lost this way. A failed quest stays failed for the rest of the run — after the final boss you can go back for collectibles, but you cannot recover a missed quest. Your only option is an earlier save.
